Does Airplane Mode still allow reading Snapchat messages without notifying the sender, and how reliable is this method today, given app updates, caching behaviour, and potential risks or account issues?

With Airplane Mode, you can read Snapchat messages secretly, but it’s unreliable. While snaps may open offline, Snapchat usually updates the “opened” status once you reconnect to the internet.
As you know, regular app updates close such loopholes. 
Yes, you can do it,t but there are a few cons to look at

Why use Airplane mode all the time? For just hiding the status. And what about other missing notifications?

Instead of Airplane mode, you can also carefully manage app cache/data on Android, but Snapchat constantly patches these workarounds. ( Hit and trial method, but not the last laugh

Did you ever think about the consequences of using those monitoring apps? I bet.. You did not even think of it as a legal way…
Well, it solely depends on the purpose of doing it… Monitoring your teenage kid. That’s okay, but doing so to break someone’s privacy - This is serious and brings serious trust issues.
I do agree with Xnspy - it’s a great phone monitoring app ( might be the cost-effective solution). Use it carefully and get consent before installing.
If the message has already been loaded, Snapchat may have enough of it sitting in the local cache for you to view it while the phone is offline. So yeah, airplane mode basically puts Snapchat in a little “no internet, no talking to the server” bubble for a moment 
But that doesn’t mean Snapchat forgets what happened forever. Once you reconnect, the app can sync its local activity with the servers, and that could include the fact that the conversation was viewed.
So airplane mode might delay that communication, but it doesn’t guarantee the opened status will stay hidden. A lot depends on whether the message was already cached, the Snapchat version you’re running, and what gets synced when the connection comes back.
Basically, “I read it while offline” doesn’t automatically mean “Snapchat will never know I read it.” That’s the little catch most airplane mode tricks conveniently leave out
From what I’ve seen, the caching part is probably the biggest thing people overlook. If I’ve already opened Snapchat and the message has loaded before I go offline, some of that content can remain available locally, so I may still be able to view it in airplane mode.
But if the message hasn’t been loaded yet, airplane mode obviously can’t pull it from Snapchat’s servers. I’ve had this kind of thing happen where older content was accessible, while something that hadn’t loaded properly just sat there waiting for a connection.
There’s another catch too: cached content isn’t something you should assume will stay available indefinitely. Snapchat can handle local data differently depending on the app version and the type of content.
So I’d look at it this way: airplane mode doesn’t give you offline access to Snapchat; it only lets you see whatever the app has already loaded and kept locally. That distinction makes a big difference when judging whether the trick actually works.
