I am contemplating switching to a monitoring tool and can’t decide between Aura and Bark. Which app provides extensive safety features? Are there other monitoring apps that have better dashboards and features? Open to all recommendations
I used Aura to block antivirus and VPN access, but the monitoring is not as extensive as I wanted it to be. The app does give you the option of putting screen time limits and location tracking, but you can’t read text messages or monitor any social media activity, which was a big concern for me.
After much contemplation and research, I switched to Xnspy, which does offer a complete package.
The app provides monitoring in real-time, which helped me a lot for tracking target advice activities instantly. With that, the remote commands are also quite helpful. So if you want all the ins and outs of the monitored device, then go for Xnspy; otherwise, Aura also does the job.

The Aura app is good for younger kids; you can set up screen time, track their location, etc., and the Bark is hands-on for older kids. It detects explicit content through AI and flags it without letting you see the actual content.
So it’s up to you. Decide what kind of monitoring you want and then opt for a specific app.
To save myself the hassle, I use Xnspy. Easy to set up and provides location tracking, IM chat monitoring, alerts, remote commands, etc., basically everything. In my opinion, Xnspy combines the functionalities of both Aura and Bark, so it’s much more convenient for me to use.
Honestly, both apps failed me… see, I can’t rely on AI to detect foul language, explicit content, or anything related to it. It’s just not reliable. What if it stops working? Also, Bark doesn’t provide real-time updates, so it’s pretty useless for me.

Aura has less device compatibility. You can face an issue while installing the app.
Bark has a more complex setup than Aura and doesn’t provide extensive features to ensure in-depth monitoring.
So the decision is yours.
I don’t rely on these tools. Your device’s own built-in parental controls are enough for monitoring. I use Google Family Link, and it does the job. Plus it’s free!! 
Don’t waste your time and money on these tools just for them do a half-ass job. See for me if I am spending money. I’d want a comprehensive app that is actually built around monitoring thats why I use Xnspy.

You don’t need to rely on these apps when you can have an honest conversation with your child and set healthy boundaries. In my opion if a child doesn’t understand that, then you can opt for a monitoring tool that too, with their consent!!!
