##Step 2: iPhone Screen Time Setup##
- Open Settings on childs iPhone
- Tap Screen Time, turn it on if not already active
- Select “This is my childs iPhone”
- Tap Communication Limits
- Set “During Screen Time” to Contacts Only
- Delete the specific number from the Contacts app on the childs phone
- Go back to Screen Time and set a passcode your child does not know
- Under Content and Privacy Restrictions, go to iTunes and App Store Purchases and set Installing Apps to require approval
##Step 3: Android Family Link Setup##
- Open Family Link on your phone
- Select your childs profile
- Tap Controls, then Communication Limits
- Set to Contacts Only or Approved contacts
- Remove the number from the childs contact list
- Go to Controls, then Google Play, and set app approvals to require your sign-off
##Step 4: Block Unknown Numbers (Stops Number Switching)##
On iPhone: go to Settings, Phone, and turn on “Silence Unknown Callers”
On carrier: enable unknown caller blocking in your carrier account settings (AT&T Call Protect, Verizon unidentified caller block, T-Mobile Scam Shield)
Running all four steps gives you carrier blocking, device-level blocking, app install control, and protection against the contact switching to a new number.
