On Android 12 and above, Google tightened background execution limits significantly. Apps that were built before those changes and have not updated their architecture to use WorkManager or foreground services properly will lose data constantly. Phonsee seems to fall into that category based on what people are reporting here. Xnspy updated their background handling after Android 12 dropped and you can see it in the stability difference. If you are on a recent Android device and you need reliable continuous logging, that engineering detail matters more than any feature list comparison.
